Artisan (“Artisan,” “we,” “us”) operates a marketplace connecting construction businesses with skilled trades labour. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We are an Australian business and handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Information we collect
Account & profile. Name, phone number, email, trade, location, licences and tickets (e.g. White Card), and the details you add to your work or hiring profile.
Activity. Shifts posted and accepted, reliability signals (such as showing up and completing work), ratings, and messages sent through the platform.
Technical. Device, browser, approximate location, and usage data collected to keep the service secure and working.
How we use your information
To match trades with work, build verifiable reputation, operate and improve the platform, keep it safe, prevent fraud, and contact you about your account or the service. We do not sell your personal information.
When we share it
Limited profile and reliability information is shown to other users so hiring decisions can be made — for example, a boss viewing a worker’s trust profile. We also use trusted service providers (hosting, analytics, messaging) who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations, and we may disclose information where required by law.
Retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
Your choices
You may access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, and opt out of non-essential communications. Contact us and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to limit access to what is needed.
Children
Artisan is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
